Disposition: Mitsuru Kirijo is the only daughter of the president of the Kirijo Group. Expected to one day take over for her father, Mitsuru is known to be very mature. She was the leader of SEES, having even started the group herself before the protagonist came along. She is also known to be responsible and intelligent as she was also the president of the Student Council. Mitsuru exudes confidence around everyone. She also tends to keep a level head in tense situations as she is able to handle her team during the Dark Hour along with the eventual confrontation with Nyx. Due to her personality, others sometimes perceive her as arrogant and cold hearted but that is far from the truth as she shows a lot more of her personality around her friends.

Those of the Empress Arcana are known for the motherly/older sister role which Mitsuru most certainly has. During the times at school, Mitsuru always took care of her team. She has a strict code of conduct which she expects to be followed by all times. Mitsuru dislikes those that are too eager to fight and jump into situations without thinking which is why she usually kept her teammate Akihiko in check. But that doesn't mean Mitsuru doesn't like fighting. When the time is right, she is all too eager to show her skills on the battlefield. Mitsuru is very respectful to those around her, always referring to them by their last names. The only ones she doesn’t do so with are people that she has grown close to. Though, like a typical older sister and or mother type, she tends to be a bit of a control freak. When she noticed the team’s grades were falling behind, she made it her mission to sign them up for summer classes without their knowledge beforehand.

Mitsuru doesn’t take too kindly to prejudiced comments, especially if it is towards women. She is a firm believer that gender doesn’t matter and only the capabilities of the person do. Emphasis on capabilities. To Yukari’s dismay, she does allow Junpei Iori to the team and lets him in with open arms despite the fact that he doesn't exactly look like someone who could handle the job. Despite that, she has a hard time standing up for herself when it comes to the Kirijo Group. She had been put into an arranged marriage but she didn’t exactly love the man she was supposed to marry. She tends to want to do things for the sake of other things she deems more important than herself. She believes that her emotions are something that should not be taken into consideration. It’s the results that matter, not her. It shows that she can be quite self-sacrificing when it comes to herself and her emotions at times. Mitsuru was often trapped by her obligations which she disliked. It’s why she particularly liked her motorcycle. She says to the protagonist “With a motorcycle, I can go where I want, when I want, all by myself”. It was her attempt at rebelling against her restricted life. While she planned to get rid of it after it was damaged, she ended up growing quite fond of it and getting it repaired anyways.

Mitsuru isn’t very good at social interaction and often struggles with it at times. She was very sheltered and didn’t get to experience the world around her. During many points in her social link, she is taken out for food by the protagonist. She is often shocked by the way one eats things or how much the food costs. Mitsuru is also determined and fiercely protective of her friends. She sends a quite scary threat to her suitor when he talks down to the protagonist despite him being older than her.

After the two year time skip to Persona 4 Arena, Mitsuru has certainly made a name for herself as she leads the Shadow Operatives. Mitsuru is very headstrong in her convictions, the main one being fixing the past mistakes of the Kirijo Group which she still feels guilty about. Mitsuru takes her responsibilities very seriously and whenever she messes up, she'll vow to fix things no matter how long it takes. Besides that, Mitsuru will actually openly compliment people about traits she finds admirable in them, sometimes even interrupting mid sentence to do so like she does when meeting Naoto Shirogane for the first time. Mitsuru likes to be there for her friends and show her support, even if it's as something as small as watching a show that a friend is featured in.

Under pressure: Mitsuru is usually cool-headed when it comes to being under pressure. When she was younger, she used to lead SEES before the Protagonist came into the picture. But even after the events of the original game, Mitsuru was able to become the leader of a group called the Shadow Operatives. She still has her leader tendencies and is willing to do what she can to protect other people, especially those she cares about no matter the cost. While she wouldn't mind the physical changes that come from staying in the world, the emotional ones will most likely leave her feeling a bit embarrassed.

Condition upon arrival: Mitsuru will be coming from post-game so she'll be in perfect health upon her arrival.

Abilities:
*Persona: Mitsuru has the ability to someone a being called a Persona with an object called an Evoker. Without an Evoker, Mitsuru can't summon it. Mitsuru's Persona is called Artemisia which specializes in Ice Skills and inflicting status effects.

*Sword Skills: Mitsuru is an expert when it comes to using a sword since she joined the fencing team back in high school. Her weapon of choice is usually one-handed swords, especially rapiers.

*Evoker: The device that Mitsuru uses to summon her Persona.

*Rapier: The weapon of choice that Mitsuru uses to fight with.
